PLN Nusantara Power (PLN NP), Southeast Asia’s largest power generation subholding, has once again showcased its commitment to sustainability. The company brought home five prestigious awards from the Indonesian Sustainable Development Goals Awards (ISDA) 2024, held on December 6, 2024, in Jakarta.
These awards are a testament to PLN NP’s dedication to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable development goals (SDGs). Innovation in Social Responsibility
One of PLN NP’s standout CSR programs, Jala Belanak (Jaring Lestari Alam, Pemberdayaan Nelayan Berkelanjutan Iklim), exemplifies its holistic approach to societal and environmental issues. Operating just 250 meters from UP Muara Tawar, the initiative empowers local communities by improving access to clean water, enhancing infrastructure, and fostering economic activities.
“This program addresses root causes of social challenges. By collaborating with local communities, we implement innovative solutions that generate positive ripple effects on social, environmental, and economic aspects,” said Ruly.
The beneficiaries of PLN NP’s CSR programs report significant improvements, including better access to clean water and increased income—rising by over IDR 40 million annually.
