Danantara Indonesia has officially opened the Danantara Technology Innovation Investment Forum (DTIIF) 2026 in Jakarta to connect national industrial priorities with global technology, expertise, and long-term investment (26/10).
Held at the Fairmont Jakarta from October 26 to 28, the forum aims to strengthen Indonesia’s industrial transformation through technology and innovation.
Under the theme “Investing in Tomorrow: Advancing Technology, Innovation, and Sustainable Growth,” DTIIF 2026 brings together more than 1,500 participants, including global innovators, technology company leaders, research and innovation centers, state-owned enterprises, investors, scientists, and strategic partners from Indonesia and other countries.
Danantara Opens Technology Innovation Investment Forum 2026 in Jakarta
The first day of DTIIF 2026, themed “Imagine – Seeing the Frontier,” focuses on global technology developments, emerging sources of growth, Indonesia’s industrial development priorities, and the role of investment in connecting technological innovation with industrial applications.
Rosan Roeslani, Chief Executive Officer of Danantara Indonesia, outlined three main ambitions for the forum: strengthening partnerships to support Indonesia’s long-term economic and industrial transformation, mobilizing global capital and expertise to develop strategic projects into measurable investment opportunities, and ensuring that collaboration produces concrete and sustainable initiatives.
“Through DTIIF, we have three main ambitions. First, to strengthen partnerships that support Indonesia’s long-term economic and industrial transformation. Second, to mobilize global capital and expertise to develop strategic projects into measurable investment opportunities. Third, to ensure that various collaborations and dialogues result in concrete and sustainable initiatives,” Rosan said.
The first-day agenda also features perspectives on economics, technology, industry, and investment from Peter Howitt, the 2025 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences laureate, and Thomas J. Sargent, the 2011 laureate. Representatives of international institutions, regulators, innovators, and leading global companies are also participating.
Danantara and Government Agencies Sign Research and Industry Cooperation Agreement
On the first day, Danantara Indonesia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, the Ministry of Industry, and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).
The agreement aims to strengthen national cooperation by connecting research programs, talent development, industrial needs, funding mechanisms, and strategic investment opportunities.
The collaboration is expected to accelerate the application and downstream development of research and innovation, strengthen industrial technology capabilities, and improve national competitiveness. It also supports Indonesia’s efforts to develop a knowledge- and technology-based economy.
Brian Yuliarto, Indonesia’s Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, said the country must develop its ability to create and produce its own technology.
“The President’s vision is very clear: Indonesia must be able to create, master, and produce its own technology. Our natural resources and great aspirations give us an opportunity, but success depends on what we are able to do with them. This is key to creating higher productivity, stronger industries, and ultimately improving public welfare,” Brian said.
Sigit Puji Santosa, Chief Technology Officer of Danantara Indonesia and Chair of DTIIF 2026, said the organization aims to promote innovation that can be implemented directly in industry.
“At Danantara, we are building cooperation to promote innovation that can be directly implemented in industry. In this way, we will not only adopt what others have already done, but also become pioneers in innovation. We will not stop at MoUs; we will follow them up with concrete projects that can be implemented immediately and demonstrate a real impact,” Sigit said.
DTIIF 2026 Focuses on Six Priority Sectors
DTIIF 2026 focuses on six priority sectors: energy; agriculture, food, and healthcare; advanced materials and semiconductors; transportation and infrastructure; artificial intelligence (AI), digital infrastructure, and telecommunications; and finance and banking.
The forum brings together participants from these fields to discuss technology, innovation, industrial needs, and investment opportunities linked to Indonesia’s national priorities.
On the second day, the theme “Advance – From Frontier Technology to Industrial Scale” will shift the agenda from strategic discussions toward industrial collaboration. Activities will include sector-specific discussions, project showcases, business meetings, and further MoU signings to support collaboration after the forum.
The third day will carry the theme “Build – Building the Next Generation,” focusing on strengthening research capacity, innovation, and talent development to support long-term growth.
Forum Agenda Connects Technology Innovation With Industrial Development
DTIIF 2026 is part of a series of initiatives leading up to the inaugural New Asia Forum (NAF), scheduled for December 3–4, 2026, in Bali.
NAF will bring together world leaders, sovereign wealth funds, and global business participants to connect long-term capital with strategic opportunities supporting Asia’s economic transformation.
Through these forums, Danantara Indonesia aims to turn strategic dialogue into concrete partnerships and investment initiatives while strengthening Indonesia’s role in shaping new growth opportunities across the region.
