The two governments also agreed to strengthen cooperation in the digital economy, including the integration of digital payment systems and the development of the Indonesia Open Network as a foundation for AI collaboration.

Research, Startups, and Investment Become the Next Focus

As a follow-up, Nezar encouraged closer cooperation through AI researcher exchanges, startup development, and increased research and development investment by Indian technology companies in Indonesia.

"I invite Indcham to help us identify Indian companies, from IT service leaders to AI startups, that are ready to establish a genuine research and development presence in Indonesia, not merely sales offices," Nezar said.
