Telkom Indonesia Reports Q1 2026 Profit and Revenue Growth Driven by ARPU and Fiber Expansion

PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk reported its consolidated financial results for the first quarter of 2026 in Jakarta (29/05). The company recorded steady growth across key financial indicators amid ongoing macroeconomic uncertainty.

Revenue reached Rp37.2 trillion, increasing 1.5% year-on-year. EBITDA was recorded at Rp18.0 trillion with a margin of 48.3%.

Net profit stood at Rp4.3 trillion with a margin of 11.7%, while normalized net profit reached Rp5.1 trillion with a margin of 13.8%.

The company stated that the decline in net profit was influenced by accelerated depreciation and business normalization during the transformation phase. These impacts were described as non-cash and transitional.

Operating cash flow increased 3.1% year-on-year to Rp17.3 trillion, supported by TOTEX efficiency initiatives and improved collection discipline.

Telkom’s Director President, Dian Siswarini, stated that the company continues to accelerate the TLKM 30 strategy execution to strengthen long-term value creation and operational consistency.

B2C Segment Growth Driven by Digital Revenue and Rising ARPU

The B2C segment, operated through Telkomsel, recorded consolidated revenue of Rp27.6 trillion, growing 1.3% year-on-year. Growth was mainly supported by digital business revenue.

Data payload increased 2.3% year-on-year, supported by ongoing network quality improvements and disciplined investment in infrastructure expansion.

Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) rose 6.4% year-on-year to Rp45,100. The increase was driven by pricing discipline, product simplification, and improved customer experience.

The company also emphasized that the telecommunications industry continues to show stable demand, supported by increasing reliance on internet connectivity.

B2B Infrastructure Strengthens Through Fiber and Connectivity Expansion

The B2B Infrastructure segment posted revenue of Rp2.4 trillion, growing 6.8% year-on-year, supported by Fiber-to-the-Tower (FTTT) expansion activities.

Mitratel recorded revenue of Rp2.3 trillion, increasing 1.4% year-on-year. Tower leasing and tower-related services remained the main contributors to revenue stability.

Mitratel maintained an EBITDA margin of 82.7%, supported by efficient cost management.

During the period, Mitratel expanded its fiber optic network by 1,080 km, bringing total fiber ownership to 58,279 km.

Wholesale & International Service revenue reached Rp2.8 trillion, with interconnection services growing 18.9% quarter-on-quarter due to increased international wholesale voice activity.

The B2B ICT segment recorded Rp3.1 trillion in revenue. The company noted that restructuring efforts in this segment led to slower activity due to a more selective approach in new partnerships.

TLKM 30 Transformation Supports Efficiency and Asset Restructuring

Telkom continued executing its TLKM 30 transformation strategy, focusing on operational efficiency and portfolio restructuring.

Capital expenditure reached Rp4.9 trillion, equivalent to 13.2% of revenue. Around 99% was allocated to core infrastructure development across B2C, B2B Infrastructure, and International segments.

Efficiency initiatives included streamlining programs and a HoldCo-OpCo structure approach, covering divestments, mergers, and liquidation of non-core entities.

The company is in the process of divesting AdMedika Group, targeted for completion by the end of the first half of 2026.

Telkom is also preparing the second phase of wholesale fiber asset separation to InfraNexia, targeted for completion in the third quarter of 2026. The initiative aims to improve fiber asset management and expand business opportunities.

Fiber-related business contribution currently stands at around 15% and is targeted to increase to approximately 25% in the future as asset optimization progresses.
