Ministry of Health and Gojek Launch Free Medical Screening Program for Thousands of Drivers

Indonesia’s Ministry of Health partnered with Gojek to expand access to the Free Health Check Program for thousands of driver partners across 17 cities. The Community Free Health Check Program, or CKG Komunitas, was launched at Rumah Mitra Gojek in Kemang Timur, Jakarta (21/05).

Deputy Minister of Health Prof. Dante Saksono Harbuwono said the collaboration aims to ensure the government’s quick-win program can be utilized by more people. He said independent health screenings can cost around Rp2 million to Rp3 million per person.

Based on initial data, driver partners were found to have high risk factors for obesity, hypertension, and prediabetes.

“Now, this is why free health screening is important. The goal is to ensure they do not seek treatment only when they are sick, but to keep them healthy and productive,” Dante said after reviewing the program activities and speaking with participants.

Program Runs Until December 2026 Across Multiple Regions

The collaboration program will run from February to December 2026. In addition to Jakarta, health screening services will be available in 16 other regions.

The targeted areas include Palembang, Bandung, Greater Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Solo, Semarang, Surabaya, Malang, Medan, Lampung, Makassar, Balikpapan, and Bali.

According to Dante, the Free Health Check Program reached around 70 million people nationally in 2025. As of May 2026, the program had reached 36 million people, including 1.86 million participants from Jakarta.

Drivers Receive Comprehensive Medical Screening Services

During the initial phase, health screening services are provided directly at driver activity points. The examinations include blood sugar testing, cholesterol checks, blood pressure screening, heart EKG examinations, and early cervical cancer detection through IVA testing.

Drivers who need eyeglasses can also receive them free of charge through BPJS.

In the future, driver partners will be able to check the nearest community health center locations independently through the Gojek Driver application.

GoTo Supports Government Healthcare Access Initiative

GoTo Group Vice President Director and Deputy CEO Catherine Hindra Sutjahyo said the company fully supports the government program.

“This facilitation is one concrete step in supporting the Indonesian government’s Asta Cita agenda through strengthening access and the quality of healthcare services,” Catherine said.

Gojek Head of Driver Operations Bambang Adi Wirawan said the high mobility of drivers on the road makes their health a priority.

“Through this program, we want to ensure partners have access to information and services that help them understand their health conditions,” Bambang said.

The Community Free Health Check Program adds to several initiatives previously provided by Gojek for driver welfare, including free BPJS Health and Employment facilities for high-performing partners, holiday bonuses, and scholarships.
