The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in San Francisco officially received the Pertamuda Seed & Scale 2025 delegation participating in the Startup Grind Conference 2026 in Silicon Valley on April 28–29, 2026 (28/04).

The visit aimed to strengthen connectivity between Indonesian student startups and government support at the global level.

Pertamuda Delegation Features Leading University Startups

The Pertamuda delegation consisted of several student startups, including Drillytics from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Cargovision from ITB, NauticalNurture from Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Orionex from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Terangin from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Velaaris from Universitas Indonesia (UI), and Hieren from Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED).

The delegation was accompanied by representatives from PT Pertamina (Persero) and the Project Director of Pertamuda Seed & Scale. Indonesian students from PERMIAS in the San Francisco and Bay Area region also attended the meeting.

KJRI San Francisco Discusses Global Market Opportunities

The meeting between the delegation and KJRI San Francisco focused on opportunities for Indonesian startups to expand into global markets through stronger networking, collaboration access, and diplomatic support.

The student startups also presented their innovations and received insights regarding market dynamics and opportunities in the United States.

“KJRI San Francisco is committed to becoming a bridge for young Indonesian startups to connect with the global innovation ecosystem, including Silicon Valley. Through network support, partnership facilitation, and economic diplomacy, we are ready to facilitate the nation’s innovations so they can grow and compete internationally,” said Indonesian Consul General in San Francisco, Yohpy Wardana.

Pertamina Highlights Importance of Collaboration

Audy A Nasution, Senior Expert Non-Government Relations at PT Pertamina (Persero), emphasized the importance of collaboration between different ecosystems.

“Collaboration between SOEs and Indonesian government representatives abroad is key to expanding access and increasing the competitiveness of national startups at the global level,” he said.

The visit also strengthened institutional relations and became a strategic discussion platform to encourage Indonesian student startups to become more adaptive, innovative, and competitive in the global ecosystem.

Pertamuda Seed & Scale Supports Young Entrepreneurs

Pertamuda Seed & Scale, initiated by PT Pertamina (Persero), continues to support the development of innovation-based young entrepreneurs, especially in the energy and technology sectors.

In addition to competitions, the program provides mentoring, coaching, and access to global networks for participants.

Since its launch, Pertamuda Seed & Scale has involved more than 14,000 students from various universities in Indonesia and has produced various impactful innovations.
