Yingli Solar's Global Techspark Workshops Debut in Malaysia

Yingli Solar recently inaugurated its Global Techspark Workshops under the theme "Powering the Future" in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to advancing photovoltaic (PV) technology and bolstering sustainable energy transitions across Southeast Asia.

The workshop convened experts from diverse sectors, including PV project owners, researchers, and supply chain partners, fostering discussions on Malaysia's renewable energy landscape. The keynote address by Allen Geng, Yingli Solar's Managing Director of International Sales, highlighted Malaysia’s significant potential for solar power generation. He emphasized the company’s dedication to quality and innovation, noting Yingli Solar's presence in Malaysia since 2013, where its early projects continue to operate efficiently.

Afzanil Bin Md. Anuar, Deputy Director of the Green Technology Division at MIDA, delivered an insightful keynote titled "Driving Malaysia's Energy Transition Through Green Technology Investments." His presentation outlined Malaysia’s roadmap for renewable energy, emphasizing investment opportunities in green industries.

The event also showcased Yingli Solar's technological advancements. Product Manager Tommy Zheng introduced the Panda N-type solar modules, known for their superior low-light performance and resistance to Southeast Asia’s humid climate and typhoon-prone environment. These innovative modules leverage high bifaciality and robust weather endurance, ensuring long-term reliability and efficiency.

Nicholas Kee, Yingli Solar's Regional Sales Director for Southeast Asia, shared the company’s localized growth strategies. He outlined tailored solutions and incentives aimed at accelerating adoption rates in Malaysia and the broader region.
