Indonesian Government Launches Digital Parenting Guide Tunasdigital.id for Safe Kids Online

The Indonesian government officially launched Tunasdigital.id, a platform designed to help parents protect children from harmful online content. The initiative was announced by Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, during the “Aman dan Sehat Digital Sejak Dini” event in Jakarta on Saturday.

“Tunasdigital.id can become a knowledge channel for mothers to understand how to guide their children in the digital era,” Meutya Hafid said.

Platform Supports Parents in Protecting Children from Harmful Content

Tunasdigital.id provides practical guidance for parents to safeguard children online. The platform aims to prevent exposure to negative content, exploitation, abuse, and excessive gadget use that can affect children’s psychological health. It also helps protect children’s personal data.

The website includes both theoretical materials and practical contributions from parents. It offers tips for supervising children’s online activity and features educational content from experts.

Integration with PP Tunas No 17 of 2025 Strengthens Child Digital Safety

The launch of Tunasdigital.id follows Government Regulation (PP) No. 17 of 2025 on the Management of Electronic Systems in Child Protection, known as PP Tunas. The platform serves as a concrete guide for implementing this regulation.

Minister Meutya Hafid emphasized that the platform guides parents on safe digital practices, including identifying age-appropriate applications and games for children.

Expert Advice and Community Participation Enrich Learning Experience

Fifi Aleyda Yahya, Director General of Public Communication and Media at Kemkomdigi, explained that Tunasdigital.id helps families learn small but important ways to protect children online.

“This is a digital literacy movement that equips parents so children can filter information, maintain online ethics, and explore the digital world safely,” Fifi said. “Children grow digitally smart and bring responsible behavior into real life.”

Interactive Launch Events Promote Inclusive Digital Literacy

The launch included a two-day interactive event in Jakarta’s Blok M Hub, attended by 2,000 mothers from across Indonesia.

The first day featured a session titled “Curhat Bareng Bu Menteri Meutya Hafid”, moderated by content creator Agung Karmalogy. The second day continued with Komdigi Sharing Session, “Konten Positif, Anak Adaptif!”, featuring child psychology practitioner Aninda and content creator Cerita Ibun, moderated by Syifa Aulia.

Through these activities, the government aims for Tunasdigital.id to be widely recognized as an inclusive and engaging platform for digital literacy. It promotes safe and healthy digital culture while supporting practical implementation of PP Tunas for parents and children throughout Indonesia.
