BSI International Expo 2025 closed with significant achievements. Held from June 26 to 29, the event recorded more than 60,191 visitors and Rp2.66 trillion in transactions across 130,000 deals.

The expo, organized by PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk. (BSI), featured 346 tenants from various sectors in the Islamic economy.

Compared to the 2024 edition, which drew over 52,000 visitors and generated Rp2.47 trillion in transactions, this year’s event demonstrated substantial growth.

BSI also facilitated 30 business matching MoUs involving 52 buyers from multiple countries, with a potential value of USD20.8 million.

Digital Growth Through BYOND by BSI and New Customer Onboarding

Throughout the event, BSI expanded its digital footprint via its superapps BYOND by BSI. As of June 29, the app recorded 5,191 new user registrations and 1,228 new customers through online onboarding.

“I didn’t expect such enthusiasm during the long holiday. Many people visited the BSI International Expo 2025. Praise be to God for this achievement. It’s a positive signal that economic activity remains strong. Now we just need to help strengthen the ecosystem, and that’s where BSI International Expo 2025 plays its role,” said President Director Anggoro Eko Cahyo.

Strategic Collaborations to Support Housing, Halal Economy, and MSMEs

BSI used the expo to announce key collaborations. These included joint efforts with BP Tapera, BPS, Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), Persatuan Islam (PERSIS), and Muhammadiyah, all coordinated under the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (Kementerian PKP).

The partnerships support the subsidized housing program and the national 3 Million Homes initiative.

Additional agreements covered trade financing with Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD), cooperation to strengthen the halal industry with Australia, and partnerships with Zahir International and Mekari to enhance digital solutions for MSMEs and corporate clients.

BSI OTO, Home Financing, and Hajj Savings Achieve Strong Results

During the event, BSI introduced the BSI OTO feature within BYOND by BSI, designed to simplify vehicle ownership through sharia-compliant financing. The program secured 108 transactions worth Rp43.4 billion.

The expo also saw Rp12 billion in Hajj savings, Rp6 billion in Umrah savings through 555 transactions, and 75 home financing deals under BSI Griya, totaling Rp63.75 billion in volume.

Bullion Banking and Gold-Based Products Draw Public Interest

A special session titled “Unlocking the Potential of Bullion Business” was held in collaboration with the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

According to BSI Deputy President Director Bob T. Ananta, public interest in BSI’s gold business was high.

Gold savings reached Rp2.7 billion, while gold installment transactions totaled Rp4.8 billion.

“Gold is not only a safe investment but also aligns with sharia principles. BSI, earlier this year, received OJK’s approval to operate as a bullion bank. We will continue to expand the gold investment ecosystem for the benefit of our customers and society,” he said.

Bob emphasized that the event was more than an exhibition, “BSI International Expo 2025 has become the center of public attention, industry players, and the national sharia finance community”.

Programs for Future Entrepreneurs and Scholarship Launch

As part of the BSI Sustainable Movement, the bank announced the winners of its Talenta Wirausaha BSI (TWB) 2024–2025 program, aimed at supporting young entrepreneurs and the growth of MSMEs.

BSI also officially launched the BSI Scholarship 2025, reinforcing its commitment to human development and cultivating future leaders.

The event was held under the theme “Engaging Indonesia in the Global Halal Industry”, showcasing products and services from BSI and strategic partners, including digital banking, sharia investments, and halal lifestyle offerings.
