BNI Ventures Commits to Nurturing Indonesian Startup Ecosystem

BNI Ventures, a subsidiary of state-owned enterprise BNI, is committed to supporting Indonesia's economic growth by investing in local startups. Based on a report from Media Indonesia, CEO Eddi Danusaputro stated that the company would selectively invest in startups across the country to help achieve the government's 2029 economic growth target of 8%.

BNI Ventures is not solely focused on providing capital. The company is building a robust ecosystem by offering mentoring, education, incubation, and acceleration programs. It also hosts events like competitions to foster the growth of startups in Indonesia.

"There are many ways to build a business, not just through investment," Eddi said during Media Indonesia's visit to BNI Ventures on January 23.

The company also aims to attract foreign investors, particularly from the United States. Eddi noted that Indonesia's startup ecosystem requires investment not only from domestic sources but also from international ones.

Eddi expressed optimism about potential investment from U.S. investors under President Donald Trump's leadership. "Hopefully, there will be no reduction or even an increase in interest from foreign investors, including Americans, to invest in startups in Indonesia," he said.

BNI Ventures’ initiatives are designed to create a supportive environment for startups, contributing to innovation and economic growth across Indonesia.
