Livin’ by Mandiri Adds Alfamart Quick Commerce Feature

Bank Mandiri has taken another significant step in expanding its digital services by integrating Alfamart’s quick commerce feature into the Livin’ by Mandiri application. This strategic collaboration aims to provide customers with a more practical and seamless shopping experience directly from a single app.

According to Erin Young, Senior Vice President of Transaction Banking Retail Sales at Bank Mandiri, the initiative underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing customer convenience through innovative technology. “This collaboration is a strategic step for Bank Mandiri to expand its digital services while delivering tangible value to customers,” Young explained.

The feature allows users to purchase essential items, including food, beverages, and household goods, via the Sukha section in the Livin’ app. No additional registrations or app switches are required. With Alfamart’s extensive network of stores, orders are delivered promptly from the nearest outlet, ensuring convenience and efficiency.

Oky Prasetyo, Head of Operations at Mindstores, highlighted the advanced technology powering this service. Built on the Mindstores Commerce Platform (MCP), the system leverages modern architecture, including microservices and API-first design. These features enhance system stability, scalability, and seamless integration with Livin’.

“Cloud-native technology ensures high efficiency and scalability, while headless architecture allows greater flexibility in developing front-end experiences, giving users an optimal experience,” said Prasetyo.

Alfamart has expressed strong support for this initiative. Mateus Radiman, Virtual Store General Manager of Alfamart, stated, “We are ready to support this service to bring it closer to consumers.”

This innovation enriches Livin' by Mandiri’s functionality beyond financial transactions, transforming it into a lifestyle solution. It aligns with Bank Mandiri’s mission to offer relevant and impactful technology-based solutions in the digital era.

The Livin’ by Mandiri app has shown remarkable growth since its launch in October 2021. By December 2024, the platform had reached 29.3 million users, marking a 29% year-on-year increase. Transactions totaled Rp 4,009 trillion across 3.29 billion occurrences, demonstrating its expanding role in customers’ lives.
