PT Nuon Digital Indonesia (Nuon), a subsidiary of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom), launched the Thrift & Give program to encourage a sustainable lifestyle in the workplace as part of its 15th anniversary celebration (17/12).
The initiative is part of Nuon’s ongoing efforts to involve employees in actions that create positive social and environmental impact.
Through the program, employees donated wearable clothing and accessories, which were then sold at a Thrift Bazaar held throughout August 2025.
Employee Participation Highlights Corporate Sustainability
The program invited employees to actively participate in sustainability efforts, turning simple donations into benefits for the community and environment.
The initiative is designed to promote awareness of responsible consumption and the reuse of goods as part of a sustainable lifestyle.
CEO Emphasizes Culture of Sustainability
Nuon Digital Indonesia CEO Aris Sudewo said Thrift & Give is the first step toward embedding sustainability into the company culture.
“As Nuon enters its 15th year, we want to invite all employees to contribute through simple actions that deliver real benefits for society and the environment. We hope the spirit of sharing and care for the planet grows from within the company and becomes a sustainable culture,” Aris said.
Donations Benefit Children’s Foundation
The program collected 207 items from Nuon employees, called Jagoan Nuon, with 147 items sold at the thrift bazaar.
All proceeds were donated to Yayasan Sahabat Anak, a social foundation focused on improving welfare and education access for marginalized children in Indonesia.
Unsold Items Donated to Clothes for Charity
Clothing and accessories that were not sold were given to Clothes for Charity through a symbolic handover at Nuon Hall, ensuring all donations continue to provide social benefit.
“Through this program, we hope Nuon not only makes a tangible contribution to society, but also builds awareness of responsible consumption and second-hand goods management as part of a sustainable lifestyle,” Aris added.
