MAJU:ON Hackathon 2025 Brings Together 100 Young Entrepreneurs in Environment and Energy
UD IMPACT successfully held the MAJU:ON Hackathon 2025 on 7–8 November at The Ritz-Carlton Mega Kuningan, Jakarta.
The event gathered more than 100 young entrepreneurs competing to create innovations in the environment and energy sectors.
UD IMPACT CEO Kim Jeongheon explained that MAJU:ON is a youth entrepreneurship program supported by SK Innovation E&S.
He said, “MAJU:ON systematically supports the development of university students and early-stage entrepreneurs in Indonesia,” translated from his statement on Friday (14/11/2025).
Collaboration With Eight Universities Strengthens ESG Innovation
To reach top talent, the program partners with eight leading universities in Indonesia.
These include the University of Indonesia, Gadjah Mada University, Sebelas Maret University, Telkom University, Indonesia University of Education, Semarang State University, and Primakara University.
Teams of students from partner universities joined early-stage startup teams from across Indonesia.
They competed intensively over the two-day event.
The opening session on the first day was attended by Hariyanto, Director of Planning at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).
His presence marked the government’s support for the program’s focus areas.
Training, Mentoring, and Investment Access Shape Sustainable Solutions
MAJU:ON offers more than a hackathon to ensure sustainable outcomes for participants.
The program includes training, mentoring, hackathon stages, demo day activities, and access to investment connections.
This structured approach helps participants develop raw ideas into solutions ready to be applied and considered by investors.
Support from SK Innovation E&S strengthens collaboration between industry and education to align innovation with real needs.
The program’s focus on environment and energy reflects global challenges and Indonesia’s commitments to sustainable development.
Building a New Generation of Green Entrepreneurs
The success of MAJU:ON Hackathon 2025 represents a significant step in building a sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem in Indonesia.
It also shows rising awareness and interest among young people in environmental and ESG issues.
The participation of hundreds of enthusiastic young entrepreneurs demonstrates strong potential for future development.
With the investment connections provided, startups from the event are expected to move beyond ideas into real implementation.
Continued support from corporations and educational institutions will play an important role in growing new green entrepreneurs in Indonesia.
