InnovateHer Academy 3.0 Launches to Boost Women Startup Support in Indonesia

FWD Insurance, UN Women Indonesia, and KUMPUL launched InnovateHer Academy 3.0 to support women developing startups. The program focuses on creating a sustainable and socially impactful model of female entrepreneurship.

Personalized Mentorship and Strategic Guidance

The program provides mentorship tailored to the unique needs of each business. It aims to help participants grow into strong leaders while offering guidance to access more sustainable funding sources.

Funding for startups led by women remains very limited, with only 2.3 percent of global startup funding reaching female founders.

"Access to loans is 20 percent lower compared to men," said Faye Wongso, Founder and Chairperson of KUMPUL.

Promoting the “Zebra” Model for Sustainable Impact

The global startup landscape is shifting from unicorns, which focus on aggressive growth and high valuation, to the zebra model that balances business growth with social impact.

"This phenomenon reflects that innovation is not just about growth numbers but about generating sustainable positive change," said Desy Widjaya, President Director of FWD Insurance.

Women-led businesses are statistically proven to create higher social impact than male-led businesses.

Strengthening Networks Within the Women Entrepreneur Ecosystem

Building strong networks among women entrepreneurs is essential for the growth of the startup ecosystem.

FWD Insurance and UN Women hope the program participants will become agents of systemic change, contributing to a safer and more equitable entrepreneurial environment.
