Passenger Load Factor Reaches 99% as Garuda Indonesia Supports Mandalika Grand Prix

Garuda Indonesia and its subsidiary Citilink recorded strong performance during the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2025 in Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara.

Over the course of the international motorcycle racing event, the two airlines transported more than 11,400 passengers, with an average load factor exceeding 88% on flights to and from Lombok.

Passenger Load Factor Reaches 99% During Peak Period.

Garuda Indonesia achieved a passenger load factor of 99% between October 1 and 4, 2025.

The return flow of spectators and tourists peaked between Sunday (October 5) and Monday (October 6), during which flights reached 100% occupancy.

Wamildan Tsani, President Director of Garuda Indonesia, expressed appreciation for the airline’s performance.

"The high passenger load to and from Lombok during this international event brings optimism for the multiplier effect in the tourism sector, especially in Lombok and its surrounding areas. Garuda Indonesia is proud to support the government in making this flagship tourism program a success," he said.

12,900 Seats Offered Through Additional Flights

From October 1 to 6, 2025, the Garuda Indonesia Group provided up to 12,900 seats for round-trip routes between Jakarta–Lombok and Surabaya–Lombok.

The total included:

  • 6,800 seats on Garuda Indonesia flights using Boeing 737-800NG aircraft (162 seats each).
  • 6,100 seats on Citilink flights using Airbus A320 aircraft (180 seats each).

This capacity was made possible through 40 additional flights by Garuda Indonesia and 4 extra flights by Citilink.
