Indosat’s Free IDCamp 2025 Coding Program Targets 2 Million AI Experts

Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat) has relaunched its coding scholarship program, IDCamp 2025, aiming to train 2 million AI talents in Indonesia (24/9).

Over seven years, IDCamp has benefited more than 380,000 participants, with over 136,000 focusing on artificial intelligence.

The program has produced 120,000 graduates ready to contribute nationwide, creating an economic impact valued at over Rp680 billion.

Inclusive Digital Learning to Meet Indonesia’s Growing AI Talent Demand

IDCamp 2025 registration is open from 24 September to 27 December 2025 on the official website.

The process is simple and inclusive, requiring participants to create an account, fill in personal data, and select classes according to their interests. The program is free, providing equal access to digital learning for young Indonesians.

Research by the World Bank and McKinsey estimates Indonesia will need over 9 million digital talents by 2030, especially in AI, data, and industrial automation. Indonesia’s AI market is projected to reach USD 2.4 billion in 2025. IDCamp supports closing this talent gap with relevant, sustainable digital education.

Industry-Aligned Curriculum with New AI Development and Integration Tracks

The program is supported by global partners such as NVIDIA, Cisco, UiPath, Mastercard, and Google.

IDCamp’s curriculum follows international standards while remaining accessible. Besides technical skills, it offers mentoring, soft skills training, and networking. In 2025, two new programs were introduced:

  • AI Development Track prepares participants for roles such as AI Engineer, MLOps Engineer, Generative AI Engineer, and Data Scientist, focusing on practical AI solutions.
  • AI Integration Track develops coding skills to integrate AI into Android, multi-platform, front-end, and back-end applications, enhancing functionality and user experience.

Bonus tracks include Cybersecurity (Cisco) and Automation (UiPath).

Vikram Sinha, President Director & CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, said, “Digital talent is the main foundation for Indonesia’s transformation in the global era. Indosat is committed to equipping 2 million talents with AI skills to prepare them for the future.”

Expanding Impact: Inclusive Programs and Nationwide Engagement

IDCamp also introduces interactive AI-based programs, including a Bootcamp for persons with disabilities, educators, and journalists, promoting equal access and AI literacy across professions.

IDCamp Connect will be held in a hybrid format, combining online and face-to-face sessions in cities such as Riau, Samarinda, and Purwokerto to strengthen Indonesia’s digital talent ecosystem.

Real-World Impact: Alumni Success Driving Indonesia’s Digital Future

One success story is Handi Sutriyan from Kebumen, who works at BMKG. After joining IDCamp in university and taking the Data Scientist track, Handi improved data quality by managing noise and anomalies in BMKG’s observation data.

This work is crucial for transportation safety and disaster early warning systems, showing how IDCamp equips participants to create real societal benefits.
