The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) continues to support inclusive and sustainable national economic development by strengthening an independent and competitive domestic industry. One of its efforts includes increasing the use of local products to expand market access for domestic industries.
To realize this goal, Kemenperin has partnered with Tokopedia and TikTok Shop to launch the Kemenperin Angkat Lokal Cepat Terkenal (KALCER) program in Jakarta on June 19, 2025.
“Through this initiative, we aim to strengthen the use of domestic products by expanding the reach of local goods through the marketplaces Tokopedia and TikTok Shop,” said Deputy Minister of Industry Faisol Riza on Thursday (19/6) in Jakarta.
Over 250 Participants Join KALCER Across Key Industrial Regions
Participants of the KALCER program are domestic business actors based in Jakarta, Purwakarta, and Bekasi. The first batch includes more than 250 participants attending both in-person and online.
These participants will take part in an onboarding program and receive training from telemarketing experts to help boost their digital marketing capabilities.
Local Product Usage Promoted as a Lifestyle Choice
The Deputy Minister stated that this collaboration is intended to make domestic product usage a part of daily lifestyle and to highlight the quality of local goods.
“By using domestic products, society helps create jobs, drive economic growth, and strengthen the foundations of the national industry,” he said.
Public and Industry Collaboration Key to Domestic Competitiveness
The success of the KALCER program, according to the Deputy Minister, relies heavily on active engagement from all sectors of society.
“There must be active contributions from industry players and consumers to create local products that are competitive, of high quality, and innovative,” he explained.
TKDN Certification Reform to Support Long-Term Industrial Growth
The Ministry is also reforming the procedures for calculating and issuing the Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri (TKDN) certification. This is a long-term effort by the government to support national industry by increasing the use of local products.
With this reform, the TKDN policy is expected to become more adaptive, transparent, and beneficial for domestic industrial players.
“Once again, I appreciate this program initiative. Let’s prove that domestic products can not only compete but also become the top choice,” the Deputy Minister concluded.
