Synnex Metrodata Boosts Logistics with Phase 2 Facility

PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia (SMI), a subsidiary of PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (MTDL), has officially launched SMI Warehouse Phase 2. This expansion is a strategic move to increase product storage, enhance distribution reach, and strengthen supply chains in support of Indonesia’s growing tech sector.

Warehouse Adds 18,000 Square Meters and 21,000 Pallet Positions

The new warehouse adds 18,000 square meters of storage area and offers up to 21,000 pallet positions. This development boosts SMI’s total warehouse capacity by 82%, reaching 40,000 square meters. The expansion follows the first SMI warehouse, which began full operations in January 2019 and has maintained a steady 70–80% occupancy rate.

Metrodata Aims to Double Revenue and Profit by 2029

MTDL President Director Susanto Djaja stated that the company targets Rp50 trillion in revenue by the end of 2029, doubling its current earnings within five years. The company also projects profit growth to reach Rp1.5 trillion during the same period, aligning with its aggressive expansion and logistics optimization strategy.

SMI Strengthens Supply Chain and National Tech Industry Support

Synnex Metrodata Indonesia President Director Sur Hang Aiwan emphasized the warehouse symbolizes the company’s commitment to innovation and service quality. “This new warehouse reflects our commitment to continue innovating and improving logistics capabilities to meet growing market demand,” he said.

Local Logistics Synergy to Boost Indonesia’s Digital Economy

With rising market needs, SMI views the warehouse expansion as a critical step to support broader, more efficient operations. The development is also expected to strengthen partnerships with local logistics providers, aligning with SMI’s goal to contribute to the growth of Indonesia’s digital economy.
