In a significant move towards environmental sustainability, PT Global Digital Niaga Tbk, known as Blibli, has partnered with climate tech company Jejakin to introduce the "Tree Planting Mission" feature. This initiative, under the Blibli Tiket Action sustainability program, aims to encourage Indonesian consumers to actively participate in environmental conservation efforts.

How the Tree Planting Mission Works

With the Tree Planting Mission feature, Blibli customers can contribute directly to reforestation efforts by adding a donation of Rp1,000 to each transaction during the checkout process. The funds collected will be utilized by Jejakin to plant mangrove trees in the Cilacap region. This collaborative effort not only supports environmental preservation but also aligns with Indonesia's Enhanced Nationally Determined Contribution (ENDC) targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 32% by 2030.

User Engagement and Impact Tracking

To enhance user engagement, Blibli provides participants with personalized reports, allowing them to monitor the positive environmental impact of their contributions. This transparency ensures that customers can see the tangible results of their involvement in the Tree Planting Mission. Additionally, Blibli has implemented other sustainability initiatives, such as the Take-Back Packaging program, where every 10 returned cardboard packages are converted into one tree seedling, and the Trade-In Trees Out program, enabling customers to contribute to tree planting when utilizing the trade-in feature for electronic products.

By the end of 2024, Blibli Tiket Action, in collaboration with customers and partners, successfully planted 15,000 tree seedlings. This achievement underscores Blibli's dedication to creating a sustainable future and providing customers with convenient solutions to contribute positively to the environment.
