Samsung Electronics is set to announce a groundbreaking leap in AI development during its Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event. The event, scheduled for January 23, will feature the unveiling of the latest Galaxy S series along with cutting-edge AI features designed to enhance user personalization.
One of the standout innovations is the Now Bar, a feature supported by Galaxy AI. According to information shared by Samsung, this tool enables users to control daily activities seamlessly. With enhanced practicality, the Now Bar offers suggestions for apps based on user habits, providing a streamlined experience.
“Smartphones that feel personal to their users are a priority in every innovation we create,” said Ilham Indrawan, MX Product Marketing Senior Manager at Samsung Electronics Indonesia. “Our upcoming Galaxy S series will showcase the next evolution of Galaxy AI, offering users new ways to use their smartphones in a more personal and intuitive manner.”
The Now Bar will debut alongside updates to One UI 7. Samsung describes the feature as a personal assistant that predicts user needs, offering insights and quick access to relevant apps, even from the lock screen. This includes customized notifications such as sleep monitoring reports, calendar reminders, weather forecasts, and other useful data.
Samsung highlights that the Now Bar isn't merely about personalization but also about boosting productivity and saving time. “It delivers the right information and access at the right moment,” Samsung explained.
Modern consumers demand efficiency and flexibility, and Samsung's innovations aim to meet those needs. According to internal surveys, Gen Z and Millennials, in particular, value personalized smartphone experiences tailored to their unique preferences.
The company’s AI advancements include expanded language support, covering 20 languages—including Indonesian—since early 2024. These features make Galaxy AI more accessible to users worldwide, Samsung reported.
Samsung's commitment extends beyond technology to creating relevant and meaningful experiences for its users. With the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, the company teases further enhancements to voice command functionality. In promotional scenes, users could ask, “Hey, when is Samsung Galaxy Unpacked?” and have the information automatically added to their personal calendars.
