Former Group CTO & CAIO at KNS Group and Principal Architect at HDFC Bank joins Jakarta-based AI firm to lead technology vision and drive enterprise AI adoption across Indonesia.
Jakarta, Indonesia · July 2026
PT Leap Digital Indonesia, a Jakarta-based artificial intelligence consulting, managed services, infrastructure, and technology staffing company, today announced the appointment of Ashish Bhowmick as Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer. The appointment marks a significant milestone in Leap Digital's mission to accelerate enterprise AI adoption across Indonesia and the broader Southeast Asian market.
Bhowmick brings more than 15 years of experience spanning digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and enterprise technology leadership across global markets, including Indonesia, India, Japan, and the United Kingdom. Most recently, he served as Group CTO and Chief AI Officer at KNS Group in Jakarta, where he steered the company's technological vision and delivered a suite of production-grade AI systems — including a predictive IT asset management platform, an AI/ML-powered quality control model that achieved 90% accuracy in carpet manufacturing, and a network monitoring system with predictive failure alerts capable of flagging at-risk infrastructure up to six months in advance.
Prior to KNS Group, Bhowmick served as Principal Architect for Digital Transformation and Corporate Banking IT at HDFC Bank in Mumbai, one of India's largest private sector financial institutions, for over two years. His earlier career includes roles as Assistant Vice President for B2C Digital Transformation at Axis Bank, Lead for Digital Engagement and Development at Bajaj Electricals, and APAC IT Digital Solutions Manager at en world Group in Tokyo, Japan.
"Ashish is exactly the kind of builder Leap Digital needs at this stage. He has spent over a decade not just talking about AI but actually deploying it in complex, high-stakes environments — financial institutions, manufacturing, and enterprise infrastructure. Indonesia is at an inflection point with AI adoption, and having Ashish lead our technology direction gives us an enormous advantage in helping enterprises here move from pilot to production."
— Bipin Mishra, Co-Founder & CEO, PT Leap Digital Indonesia
Bhowmick holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and an MBA from NMIMS. He has completed postgraduate programmes in Advanced Data Science at XLRI Jamshedpur and Digital Strategies for Business at Columbia Business School. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna — underscoring a commitment to staying at the frontier of the discipline he now leads professionally.
"Indonesia is one of the most exciting markets for enterprise technology in the world right now — large, underpenetrated, and increasingly AI-ready. What drew me to Leap Digital is the clarity of purpose: this is not a company trying to sell software licenses. We are here to solve real business problems with AI, and to build the talent and infrastructure that Indonesian enterprises need to sustain that transformation. I am looking forward to building something that matters."
— Ashish Bhowmick, Co-Founder & CTO, PT Leap Digital Indonesia
In his new role, Bhowmick will oversee Leap Digital's full technology portfolio — including AI consulting and implementation, managed services, infrastructure, and the company's growing technology staffing and employer-of-record operations. He will also play a central role in shaping Leap Digital's product roadmap and strategic partnerships as the company advances its seed funding round.
