How TULOLA and BCA Celebrate Indonesian Heritage with Taro Village and Reza Rahadian

TULOLA marked its creative journey in 2025 with the two-day celebration “Reflections of Light” at The Dharmawangsa Hotel, Jakarta, featuring collaborations with Taro Tourism Village and actor Reza Rahadian (28–29/11).

The event became an important moment for the brand, presenting works that carried elegance, identity, and cultural meaning.

Happy Salma, Co-Founder and Creative Director of TULOLA, said, “Reflections of Light is a celebration of creativity for us, reflecting the cultural heritage, collaboration, and individuals who bring art to life. Through the work of the Taro artisans and Reza's twenty years of creativity, we celebrate the light born of perseverance, patience, and dedication.”

Collaboration with Taro Tourism Village Through Heroes of Heritage

The Heroes of Heritage program, introduced in 2023 by Happy Salma and Sri Luce-Rusna, aims to honour cultural heroes, especially Balinese artisans skilled in traditional jewellery making based on communal motifs.

As part of this year’s celebration, TULOLA and Taro artisans presented a brooch series themed IDENTITY, inspired by traditional Balinese symbols such as Patra Bali, Mandala, Sampian, Karang Daun, and Lembu.

Reza Rahadian’s ‘Dua Dasarasa’ Marks His Twenty-Year Creative Journey

TULOLA also launched its collaboration with actor Reza Rahadian, titled “Reza Dalam Dua Dasarasa,” the brand’s first unisex collection.

The collection reflects Reza’s two decades in the entertainment industry and his search for personal identity while exploring different creative expressions.

Sri Luce-Rusna, Founder and Creative Designer of TULOLA, said, “The motifs in this collection are inspired by the TULOLA archive, a design database that combines vintage shapes with symbolism reflecting depth of feeling and inner journey. Each piece is designed as a medium for reflection: on light, on shadow, and on the balance of two fundamental feelings—the forces that shape someone's creative journey.”

Taro Artisans Highlight Cultural Symbols and Precious Metal Craftsmanship

Through Bakti BCA, two master silversmiths from Taro Tourism Village— I Made Suama and I Made Arsanata—continued their collaboration with TULOLA.

Both artisans have long been active in the jewellery industry, including the crafting of pratima, which reflects Bali’s aesthetic and spiritual values.

I Made Arsanata also displayed a Majapahit-era keris decorated with 23-carat gold and selected rubies.

The keris used around 175 grams of gold, valued at Rp385 million, showcasing his skill in working with precious metals and the cultural heritage preserved by Taro artisans.

Bakti BCA Supports Cultural Preservation and Offers Customer Promotions

Hera F. Haryn, BCA EVP of Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility, said, “At BCA, we are honoured to be collaborating with TULOLA again to create works that transcend mere aesthetics and have a broader impact on society. Together with TULOLA, BCA, through Bakti BCA, is committed to ensuring that knowledge, skills, and local cultural heritage continue to thrive and be passed on through the hands of Indonesia's master artisans.”

During the event, BCA provided special offers for its customers, including 20% discounts on Signature products, 15% on Artwear items, and 10% on New Collection pieces.

Customers using BCA credit and debit cards also received an additional 5% discount and access to 0% installment plans for transactions with BCA credit cards.

Bakti BCA’s Heroes of Heritage initiative continues to support traditional crafts by empowering individuals, communities, and cultural ecosystems.

The collaboration with TULOLA strengthens the role of artisans from Taro Tourism Village in Indonesia’s creative industry.
