Samsung Wallet Partners with Coinbase to Offer Exclusive Crypto Benefits to Galaxy Users

Samsung Electronics has expanded its partnership with Coinbase, the leading cryptocurrency exchange in the U.S., to improve access to digital assets for Galaxy smartphone users. Beginning today, users in the United States can purchase cryptocurrency directly through Samsung Pay within the Samsung Wallet app.

The partnership, originally announced in July, provides Galaxy users with more ways to manage crypto investments and access funds through Samsung’s secure and easy-to-use platform.

Galaxy Users Can Now Access Crypto Through Samsung Pay

With the Coinbase integration now live in the U.S., Samsung Wallet users can buy and trade digital currencies from within the app. This development offers Galaxy users a convenient option for crypto transactions through a familiar mobile payment system.

“Millions of Galaxy users rely on their smartphone to complete everyday tasks, and that goes far beyond communication — it’s paying in-store, unlocking a car, showing an ID, and more,” said Drew Blackard, Senior Vice President of Mobile Product Management at Samsung Electronics America. “With our Coinbase partnership, Galaxy users have a simple and streamlined way to access crypto from a leader in the industry.”

Samsung Wallet Users Receive Coinbase One Subscription and $25 Credit

Samsung Wallet users are now eligible for a three-month free trial of Coinbase One. The premium membership includes zero trading fees on select cryptocurrencies, increased staking rewards, and access to exclusive partner offers.

In addition, users who complete their first trade on Coinbase through Samsung Wallet will receive a $25 credit.

Samsung Wallet Integrates Financial Tools and Digital Essentials

With this update, Samsung Wallet extends its functionality beyond crypto access. Users can now view their digital asset holdings, make mobile transactions, and send peer-to-peer payments. The app also supports installment payments and allows users to store and manage digital IDs, keys, and memberships in one place.

“Together with Samsung, we’re pairing their global scale with Coinbase’s trusted platform to deliver the best value for people to access crypto — starting with more than 75 million Galaxy users across the U.S., and soon around the world,” said Shan Aggarwal, Chief Business Officer at Coinbase.
